Colorado State University’s Black/African American Cultural Center Rites of Passage program is designed to support the transition and retention of African American first-year students by promoting success as they transition from high school to college by role-modeling leadership and academic and social skills. New students benefit from the experiences and campus strategies older, more experienced, student leaders.
Established in 1977 and revised in 1982 to incorporate current structure, ongoing changes since.
Fall Retreat for New Students
The annual off-campus, community building retreat allows first-year and transfer students the opportunity to develop relationships with one another, work on communication skills, conflict resolution, relationships, self-esteem and team building.

This event cost $10 to attend (non-refundable). Your $10 includes transportation to and from all retreat activities, meals (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner/Sunday breakfast, and lunch), CSU swag and lodging!
